Mexique, Pérou, Surinam et bien entendu Suède : en 1986, des musiciens venus des quatre coins du globe répondent à l’appel du compositeur, arrangeur et multi-instrumentiste suédois Torbjörn Langborn. Il a l’idée de réunir les deux groupes avec lesquels il travaille : un quintet de jazz et son groupe de salsa. Le cocktail est détonnant : après plusieurs jours d’enregistrement au studio Humlan de Stockholm, Torbjörn Langborn and The Feel life orchestra sortent un album éponyme, qui mêle selon les mots du compositeur « disco et funk avec des congas et des percussions Batá ». Sur la face B, un bijou de près de sept minutes qui compte trois parties: Feel Life, où Torbjörn Langborn laisse libre cours à ses talents de pianiste jazz. Trente-trois ans plus tard, nous avons demandé au célèbre Dimitri From Paris de laisser lui aussi libre cours à ses talents de remixeur pour une nouvelle version de ce morceau anthologique. Pardonnez-nous, mais les voici.

Mexico, Peru, Surinam, and of course Sweden: in 1986, musicians from around the world responded to the Swedish composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist Torbjörn Langborn’s invitation. His idea was to bring together the two groups he played with — a jazz quintet, and his salsa ensemble. The cocktail was explosive: after several days recording at the Humlan studio in Stockholm, Torbjörn Langborn and the Feel Life Orchestra produced an eponymous album, combining, in Langborn’s words, “disco and funk with congas and Batá percussions.” The B side is a three-part gem nearly seven minutes long: Feel Life, where he gives free rein to his talent as a jazz pianist. Thirty years later, we asked the famous remixer Dimitri from Paris to express is talent to produce a new version of this classic music track. "Pardonnez-nous", here it is.
