La Compagnie créole : né en 75, ce groupe mythique pour tous les francophones est passé à la postérité en multipliant les tubes au gré de ses 23 albums, mélangeant musiques antillaise, guyanaise et airs populaires de métropole.

Parmi tous ces standards qui font danser dans tous les bals de France, il en est un qui se démarque : A.I.E. Ecrit par Daniel Vangarde en 1987, ses paroles créoles et sa mélodie ont conquis immédiatement toute la francophonie, puis le reste de l’Europe et l’Amérique du Nord.

C’est là, dès 1988, qu’un dj new-yorkais, un certain Larry Levan, produit un remix de ce morceau pour la bande sonore du film Sweet lies. Un remix non commercialisé, resté quasiment inconnu jusqu’ici. Pardonnez-nous, mais le voici.

La Compagnie créole : born in 1975, this mythical band known by all the francophones will be remembered by future generations, thanks to all those super hits spread over the course of 23 albums, mixing music from the Antilles, Guyane and popular tunes from the French metropole.

Amongst all those classics, making people dance in all the french ballrooms, one stands out: A.I.E written by Daniel Vangarde in 1987, his Creole lyrics and melodies have won over the entire francophone diaspora, as well as the rest of Europe and North America.

From then on, in 1988, a NY DJ, known by the name of Larry Levan, produced a remix of this track for the sound track of the film Sweet Lies. A mix not released, which remained relatively unknown up to this point. «Pardonnez-nous», but here it is.
